Youth Empowerment Initiative

Enhancing the skills, confidence, and opportunities of young people through leadership training, vocational programs, and rights awareness campaigns.

Holistic Security Training

Offering training on physical, digital, and psychosocial security to safeguard individuals and organizations facing harassment or threats.

Achievements

FTK has made significant strides in its mission to empower marginalized groups:

  • Developed policies to strengthen institutional governance, including the HR Manual, Procurement Policy, and Safeguarding Framework.
  • Referred hundreds of Youth, to essential health services for HIV, STI, and harm reduction support.
  • Advocated for legal reforms and inclusive policies, enhancing the protection of Youth in Zanzibar.
  • Provided mental health education and resilience training to youth and vulnerable groups.
  • Strengthened community cohesion through participatory forums, consultations, and strategic planning.
  • Partnered with key stakeholders, including UNAIDS and the Zanzibar AIDS Commission, to deliver impactful health and advocacy programs.

Beneficiaries and Community Engagement

Target Groups:
 Youth, Marginalized communities, AGY  and other vulnerable groups in both urban and rural Zanzibar.

Community Involvement:
 FTK actively involves beneficiaries in planning, implementing, and evaluating its projects.
