FTK implements a structural deworming campaign in Lower Moshi. Started in January 2014.Semi-annually, children ages 4-15 are provided with deworming medication (albendazole 400mg – single pill) which is school-based program with 12 primary schools and a number of pre-primary schools. The program is supported by the Moshi Rural district and TPC Hospital. In May 2016, 4,620 pupils received medication. At four schools FTK collects additional data on an annual basis (age, gender, height and weight) to allow us to track malnutrition rates in the community, these data are shared with the local government.
